Pianist, Composer and Tutor based in Malton, North Yorkshire.
I have performed across the UK as well as showcasing my compositions in New York and Paris. I have played piano from age 4. Age 12, I stopped writing my diary and started writing tunes on my piano. Take a listen to my debut album ‘Fragile Stars’ and you’ll hear the raw emotion of a heartfelt diary entry in each piece. Victor Hugo once said, “ ." and that’s how I write, and that’s why.
I now write music specially for weddings so that brides can avoid those cliche walks down the aisle and have something so special it will bring their guests to tears. I talk to couples about their journey so far before putting together those inspirations into something unique and truly beautiful. Take a look at my reviews to read more about this.
I truly believe that classical music should be accessible and inclusive. I was awarded a Royal Fellowship of Arts for my composition workshops with very young people (age 4 to 10). I have continued that work by creating a bespoke programme of piano tuition with creativity and fun at its heart. All students are able to study for their and , certified by Trinity College London. We are an Arts Award Centre because I believe students should learn about music as a form of human expression. Sometimes we will be inspired a poem, a painting, or a piece of music. This helps students to produce an original performance and develop as an artist from an early age.
After having my music streamed online in 12 different countries, I decided it was time to launch an album. ‘Fragile Stars’ is available to buy on CD for £5. All money raised this year will go to the British Heart Foundation in memory of my mum.
