Our Ethos is to invest our time in you so that you have a relationship with midwives that you know and trust. We listen, we guide, we equip you to have a calm and secure childbearing experience.

We provide maternity care and education that we adapt to meet the needs of you and your baby during, prehnancy, birth and the early days of parenthood by coordinating care for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Private Birth & Beyond Parent and Birth Preparation Classes

Our private Birth and Beyond courses are open to everyone and are designed to offer you even more choice when it comes to your pregnancy and parenting education. The class sizes and format encourage you to make friends with other local parents, and because the classes are facilitated by practising Royal Surrey Midwives, you will also receive excellent Midwife led, evidence based and accurate information. The money from the paid antenatal classes goes to improving the maternity environment and providing additional courses and classes for women and staff.

All our classes are taught by qualified midwives who are experts in antenatal and postnatal education. You can be assured that you will be receiving exceptional quality education, that will empower you and your family on your pregnancy and newborn journey.

At The Royal Surrey County Hospital, we try to ensure that we have an antenatal class to suit everyone. We pride ourselves on providing non- judgemental, honest, accurate and evidence based information so that women, pregnant people and their birth partners can leave the classes excited, informed and with realistic expectations. Our classes cover parents living in Guildford, Godalming,South Woking, Farnham, Aldershot, Haslemere, Cranleigh and Bordon, as well as all the surrounding towns and villages.

You do not need to be having your baby at the Royal Surrey to book on to our private classes as we believe our classes are excellent for everyone. Although the classes are tailored to the Royal Surrey, because they are taught by experience midwives , we will still be able to answer your questions and support your choices.
