Kola is Metropolitan Detroit’s premier ethnic restaurant & lounge featuring African/Caribbean Cuisine & Entertainment. Derived from the “Kola nut”, the fruit of the Kola tree native to Africa & the Caribbean, widely known for its use as a caffeine source, our restaurant reflects the West African symbolism of this fruit… vitality, long life, welcome, and friendship.

Kola offers the following experience:

A full-service restaurant featuring authentic African/Caribbean cuisine, and full bar, including a wine list that complements the experience.. In-house & Off premise catering services for corporate events, receptions, birthdays, etc.

Facility rental services for private events.

Live musical performances, comedy, poetry, dance classes, and emphasis on music genres with African influences such as Afrobeat, Reggae, Jazz, and more.

You can choose to enjoy live entertainment or comfortably fellowship with friends in our lounge.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Tuesday - Thursday, 5 PM - 10 PM

Friday, 5 PM - 12 AM

Saturday, 5 PM - 2 AM

#Happy357 Happy Hour 5 PM - 8 PM

*Carryout out ends one hour before closing.

Closed Sunday & Monday for private rentals including meetings, seminars, receptions, parties & more.
