The Gallery

Golden Moon Gallery is a unique store with an eclectic variety of artwork on display. Everything here has been carefully curated from travels around this beautiful planet. Original paintings, prints, uncommon antiques, one of a kind jewelry, ceramics, custom furniture and so much more can be found here. There are no limits to the treasures at Golden Moon Gallery.

The Studios

Since opening our Golden Moon Gallery in 2016 we've always wanted to offer more resources to our community. With our new studio space we're now able to make it reality.

For Kids:

Our hope is to give children a voice through art-making. Art allows a child to explore, from the point of the unknown to a point of completion, learning art techniques while working through mistakes and problem solving, resulting in higher self-confidence, awareness, and leadership skills.

We hope to provide growth in children through honoring ideas, executing dream designs, guidance through questions to engage problem-solving, build creative thought processes through mistake-making, and celebrate collaboration.

For Adults:

We believe that artists can be the best teachers of their own craft which is why we're working exclusively with local artisans and crafters for all of our workshops. We hope to bring a large array of interesting and unique workshops including; jewelry making, candle making, woven work, painting, drawing and more. Whether you are looking to expand your skills or start something new, we hope to help you on that journey of discovery and creation.

Our Space:

We are located in downtown San Mateo, directly behind Golden Moon Gallery. Tall ceilings, large windows and beautiful natural light make for an inspiring artistic space. Our spacious patio can comfortably fit over a dozen students and depending on the activity (and weather) we hope to host many of our activities there. Walking distance from coffee shops, bakeries and parks.

Our Staff:

Our Lead Art Coordinator and Instructor has a Bachelors in Fine Art from Academy of Art University and her background includes writing curriculum and teaching at the Children's Creativity Museum as well as the Museum of Children's Art. She is a gifted artist specializing in many mediums incuding water color, oil, acrylic and more.
