Hello Beautiful Friends~
I am Beth James the founder/creator of Barefoot and Free~
A long time yoga teacher (over two decades) I started Barefoot originally as a yoga festival set in the woods in Proud Lake, Michigan. My vision was to bring people together to combine all my personal favorite healing things: yoga, nature and community! That was over 10 years ago; since then I added international and local yoga retreats. I have taken over 200 around people all around the world; retreats are like being in a mini yoga family for a week! I have lead them in Bali, Greece, Morocco, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Sedona, Joshua Tree, Northern Michigan, Dominican Republic to name a few:)
Over the last few years, my purpose has been working with women and leading embodiment circles and women's retreats. These are super intimate experiences where we share about sex, sensuality, pleasure, our struggles with being feminine and being a woman. I now am leading feminine embodiment courses and retreats specific for women wanting to break free and truly embody their feminine essence without shame or shadows! I am a mama of two incredible daughters and we love singing, gardening, biking and doing anything creative outside. I am a huge fan of Topo Chico and pour over coffee, I love a sweaty run in the woods and talking to trees!
My dream day is spent outside somewhere warm with my man, my kiddos, and delicious food and lots of belly laughs!
I am honored to host people from all walks of life all over the world. I am told by many that one of my greatest gifts is bringing like minded people together. I create safe and welcoming environments for healing, wellness, and intimate relationships to flourish. I pride myself on my authentic non dogmatic approach to yoga and spirituality. I promise to be as honest and open hearted as I can with each offering I present. I create spaces in this world for peopole to feel seen as they truly are & to come more fully ALIVE!
